Black Jacket
There are not many pieces of clothing that will go with almost anything, but there are a few. One such thing is the black jacket. Though it doesn’t really go with brown, it will go with almost anything else. It is considered to be a neutral color, and that means no matter what you wear, your coat will probably be just fine. It might not look good over all white, depending on the trends, but it would still work in a pinch.
Though wearing a black coat with navy pants in a business suit is not ideal, it also works in a pinch. Black should be paired with black in those cases, but if you don’t have any black pants that are clean, the navy will work for the most part. This is why you see so many of this type of black jacket around in the stores. They are the top sellers, and they make up a majority of most professional wardrobes. Again, it depends on the trends, but they are usually always in style in some form or another.
When it comes to outer wear, most can get a black jacket and feel it will go with most of what they wear. You could have different colors for different outfits, but in the long run, that can be very expensive. Even if you own a few of them, chances are good you can feel comfortable with your black jacket whenever nothing else seems to work. This goes for the spring and fall type of light jacket as well as the heavier coats for winter. That color also works well when buying some dressy for evenings out or for the workplace.
When shopping for a black jacket, look carefully at the care instructions. Some of them will hold their shade of black very well, and others will not. Some will warn against fading by giving specific instructions for washing them. If you follow the care instructions carefully, your black jacket should remain mostly the same shade for quite a while. A jacket that costs more will retain color longer anyway, so remember that when you decide how much you want to spend and what type you want to buy.
There are a few that can’t really wear a black jacket, because the color makes them look very pale, or because they have dandruff and hate the flakes hitting their shoulders and lying there easily in view. Those types might want to have a jacket in grey, as they tend to have the same ability to go with many things, but they are less severe against the skin, and flakes won’t show up quite as well.
